Global PSP – merchant service

The client needed to execute a global strategy to enhance merchant and consumer services, transitioning to a 24/7 “follow-the-sun” service model.

We provided Project & Transformation Management and led the transition to a global service model, ensuring 24/7 coverage with seamless handovers between regions and developed a fit-for-purpose customer segmentation strategy and aligned SLA definitions and operational processes accordingly.  Finally, we took on the role of Business Owner for the implementation of a new Salesforce platform, ensuring alignment with business needs and strategic goals.

We successfully established a globally operational, around-the-clock service department. The new customer segmentation strategy and related SLAs improved service delivery, while the Salesforce implementation streamlined operations and enhanced customer engagement.

The client sought strategic advice on major developments in the e-commerce sector, including emerging business models, evolving consumer habits (such as omnichannel usage), and the resulting requirements for seamless payment solutions.

We analyzed emerging business models in e-commerce to identify key trends and opportunities and assessed changing consumer behaviors, including the growing demand for omnichannel experiences. We finally evaluated the requirements for seamless payment solutions to meet evolving market needs.

We provided the client with clear, actionable guidance for its e-commerce strategy, emphasizing innovation and aligning with future market demands.

Payment processor for public transport

The client sought to evaluate the feasibility for travelers to reload their new public transport cards (OV-pas) self-checkout registers in retail stores.

In collaboration with the client, we first developed a practical solution leveraging our industry experience and deep market knowledge, incl. use cases, process analysis, and high-level architecture. Then, we worked with all relevant stakeholders (retailers, terminal providers, etc.) to determine the impact of each process step.

The key outcome was that reloading the public transport card using the solution proposed by us (leveraging NFC, among other technologies) is feasible and offers several advantages compared to the original solution, such as better alignment with retailer preferences and lower costs.
